Address Books

Feature Summary

Address Books contain entries that can be used for devices with messaging and/or calling functionality. The Address Book feature enables specific devices to message or call the entries. Users can create unlimited Address Books and entries configured for either individual or multiple devices and operators.

How to Use

How-To: Add Address Book

1. Go to the navigation menu and click on ‘Add Item’
2. Select Add Address Book from the list (you must have at least one Address Book before you can make Address Book entries)
3. Name the Address Book
4. Click ‘Create Address Book’

How-To: Edit Address Book

1. Go to the navigation menu and click on ‘Manage’
2. Click on the ‘Edit’ icon next to the desired Address Book
3. Make the desired changes
4. Click ‘Save Changes’

How-To: Delete Address Book

1. Go to the navigation menu and click on ‘Manage’
2. Click on the ‘Delete’ icon next to the desired Address Book
3. Click ‘Delete’ on the popup window

Additional Information

Address Books should not be confused with the contacts feature, which serves an entirely different purpose. Satellite phones are the primary devices that may use the Address Books and entries feature.

Address Book Fields

Name: Address Books only have one field, which is their name.

Assigning Address Book Groups

1. Go to the navigation menu and click on ‘Assets’
2. Click on the ‘Asset Options’ icon next to the desired Asset
3. Click on ‘Edit Asset’
4. Click on ‘Settings’ dropdown
5. Click on ‘Address Book Group’ and select the desired Address Book Group to use
6. Click ‘Save Changes’
