Feature Summary

The Searching feature allows users to look for important data, Assets, and Events from the List Panel and Details Panel. The Searching feature empowers users to efficiently locate specific assets, events, reports, and other data within GSatTrack. By providing robust search capabilities, users can quickly find and access the information they need, enhancing productivity and optimizing asset tracking and management processes.

How to Use

How-To: Search

How-To: Search for Items/Groups

Go to the Navigation menu and click on the desired item page
Click in the ‘Search’ box
Type a specific term to filter the items
Interact with the presented data

How-To: Search for Notifications/Activity Log

Go to the Navigation menu and click on the desired item page
Click on the ‘Options’ gear icon next to the desired item
Click on the desired notification tab
Click in the ‘Search’ box
Type a specific term to filter the items
Interact with the presented data

Additional Information

Search boxes appear in the List Panel on all map view pages. Users can search items in the List Panel for terms that appear in any of the following fields, attributes, and metadata.

Name
Description
Device Manufacturer
Device Model

Users can also search through the Activity Logs in the Details Panel under each of the notification tabs.

Address
Lat/Lng
Time/Date

Anytime a user searches, the list of viewable items will dynamically update to include only those that contain the search term. Each additional character will narrow the search further.

Items - To find a specific Asset, Place, Geofence, Journey, or Shared View

Groups - To find a specific group of items

Notifications - To find a specific notification from one of the tabs listed below
