Android Home Screen Options

Long-pressing on the GSatTrack App from the home screen will allow

Quick Commands

  1. Long-press on the app on the home screen until the pop-up panel shows

Notifications Panel

  1. Pull down on the Android notifications panel

  2. Select the GSatTrack badge

Check-in

A user may check in at any time and enter an optional message, which will appear on the platform.

  1. In the app, select ‘Check In’

  2. Write a message if necessary

  3. Select ‘Send Check In’

Emergency Situations and Messages

An emergency message may be generated from the app, which will be signaled on the web portal as well. Creating Alert:

  1. From the app, select the emergency signal and slide it to the right

  2. Write a message if necessary

  3. Select ‘Send Alert’

Canceling Alert:

  1. From the app, select the emergency signal and to the left

  2. Write a message if necessary

  3. Select ‘Cancel Alert’

Sending Messages

A message can be sent from the app to a portal operator or other users.

  1. From the app, select the ‘Messages’ icon

  2. Select the desired recipient

  3. Type in the desired message

  4. Select the blue message bubble icon to send a message

Activity

Activity is tracked within the app from the ‘Activity’ tab. Users can view information on recent Positions reported.

  1. Select ‘Activity’ icon

  2. Select ‘View Details’ to see data on Positions reports

Settings

App settings can be viewed and changed from the ‘Settings’ icon.

Security

Allows the user to add an optional password to restrict access to settings.

Tracking

Allows the user to adjust app tracking, map view, and GPS accuracy.

Account Settings

Shows the registered device name, username, and domain for the account registered with the app.

About

Shows app version, the device ID, and a link to the privacy policy.

Note!

Some settings are different for the Android app vs the iOS version.
