System
Permissions
Feature Summary
Permissions give administrators control over how account users access, modify, and interact with objects in the platform — assets, places, geofences, and shared views. They are usually set when creating a user, an object, or a Shared View, and can be adjusted at both the user and object level at any time.

Additional Information
Permissions work primarily by inclusion: administrators grant access by selecting the objects a user may access (ticking the boxes next to their names). Each object also carries its own permission settings that can be set during creation or later from its details panel — for example, toggling which users can interact with a Place directly from the Add a Place interface. Permissions can be revoked or changed at any time, at both the user and object level.
Key Features
- Granular control over access for individual users and objects.
- Permissions added or removed dynamically at any time.
- Independent settings per object type (Assets, Places, Geofences, Shared Views).
- Permission level set during user creation.
Use Cases
- Restricting sensitive data to authorized personnel.
- Giving teams access only to the objects relevant to their roles.
- Tailoring Shared Views so visitors see only the intended data.
