Additional Information

Geofence Actions

Geofences offer several bulk action capabilities that facilitate efficient asset management:

  • Send Message: Users can send custom messages to all devices within a geofence that supports two-way messaging. To do this, click the "Send Message" button, deselect any assets you don’t want to include, type your message, and click "Send Message."
  • History Replay: This function allows users to view only the assets within a geofence on the map, hiding all others. Users can adjust the period to view the movement history of these assets.
  • Group Assets: Clicking the "Group Assets" button opens a page to create an asset group from the assets currently within a geofence. This feature helps track asset positions during significant events.
  • Add Alert: This action opens an alert form with the selected geofence pre-filled, allowing users to set up alerts specific to that geofenced area.
  • Asset Location Report: This function generates a report on the location of assets within a geofence. The report can be customized and exported in Print, Excel, PDF, or KML formats.

Geofences on the Map

All active geofences are visible in any map view across modules and are editable only in the Geofences Module. Users can access its properties by clicking on a geofence and performing quick actions such as toggling visibility, adding alerts, sending messages, grouping assets, replaying history, and running location reports.
