Reports
Report Types
Feature Summary
The Reports feature in GSatTrack generates detailed analytics on asset performance, activities, and operations. Users can create, customize, and schedule reports covering areas such as asset utilization, route efficiency, and regulatory compliance to support data-driven decisions.
How to Use
Note!
Requesting too much information in a report can bog down the browser for an extended period. If this happens, try running the report again but with less data being retrieved. This may require running multiple reports for different groups or date ranges.
How-To: Run a Specific Report
- Go to Navigation menu and click on “Reports”
- Choose the desired report type like “Activity Report”
- Fill in the required and desired optional information
- Click on “Run Report” or “Schedule Report” to run at a future date
How-To: Export a Report
- Run the report
- Expand the “Download File” dropdown menu
- Choose which file format to export the report to
- Interact with exported file
How-To: Print a Report
- Run the report
- Click the ‘Print report” button
- Choose the destination
- Click “Print”

Asset Location: Provides the most recent location data for assets, including coordinates, timestamps, and any relevant location details.
Asset Movement: Tracks the movement history of assets, showing routes, distances traveled, and any stops or deviations.
Driver Summary: Offers a summary of driver activities and performance metrics, including driving hours, distances covered, and events logged.
Event Detail: Provides comprehensive details of specific events, including timestamps, locations, and any relevant asset or driver information.
Event Summary: Summarizes all events recorded within a specified time frame, including counts and types of events.
Fleet Trip: Details trips made by fleet vehicles, including start and end locations, distances traveled, and trip durations.
Fuel Consumption: Reports on fuel usage by assets, providing data on fuel levels, consumption rates, and refueling events.
Fuel Level: Monitors and reports on the fuel levels of assets over time, highlighting trends and any significant changes.
Geofence Dwell: Tracks the amount of time assets spend within specified geofences, including entry and exit times and total dwell time.
Input History: Logs the history of input signals received by assets, including timestamps and types of inputs.
Max Altitude: Provides data on the maximum altitude reached by assets during a specified period, along with associated details.
Max Speed: Reports the maximum speed achieved by assets, including the time and location where it was recorded.
Position: Lists the recorded positions of assets, including coordinates, timestamps, and any relevant movement details.
Raw Log: Offers an unfiltered log of all raw data received from assets, including GPS data, sensor readings, and event logs.

Key Features
- Report Templates — Pre-defined templates for asset management and operations reporting.
- Customizable Reports — Select data fields, set time ranges, and apply filters to tailor each report.
- Scheduled Reporting — Generate and send reports automatically at specified intervals.
- Real-Time Data — Reports reflect the most current data from sources within GSatTrack.
- Export and Share — Export to formats such as PDF and CSV, and share via email or other channels.
Data Export
Users can choose to run and view a report directly from the portal itself, and these reports will have export options that will allow users to save and use them externally.
From any report after it has been run, users can choose to Print, Export to Excel, or Export to PDF. The print option will act the same as any other print button from a browser, triggering the user’s device’s print protocols. Exporting to Excel or PDF will initiate the save protocols from the browser.
Use Cases
- Fleet Performance Analysis — Track fuel consumption, mileage, and utilization rates to identify areas for improvement.
- Route Efficiency Evaluation — Analyze travel times, distances, and deviations to improve route planning.
- Compliance and Audit Reporting — Produce reports covering driver logs, maintenance records, and safety checks.
- Geofence Activity Reports — Monitor geofence entries and exits to detect unauthorized movements.
