Notification Types and System
GSatTrack generates various notifications for users to view. Most notifications are hosted within the portal, but some can be sent to external devices as part of certain feature sets, like Alerts.
The notification system informs users about their assets’ activities in Live Mode and History Mode. Notifications, including new Positions, Alerts, Events, Statuses, Chats, and Device Messages, are color-coded and visible in the List Panel for a summary view and in the Details Panel for an expanded view.
Notification Boxes in List Panel
Each asset and group has five notification boxes below their name, which are color-coded to indicate new notifications:
- Position Notifications (Green): Indicates new position reports.
- Alert Notifications (Orange): Triggered by manual alerts from the device or when portal alert triggers are met.
- Emergency Notifications (Red): Critical alerts.
- Event Notifications (Purple): Includes safety check-ins and sensor-related events.
- Status Notifications (Yellow): Monitors fuel level, tire pressure, and other diagnostics.
- Chat Notifications (Blue): For devices supporting two-way messaging.
- Message Notifications (Blue): For devices supporting special commands.
Notification Tabs in the Details Panel
The Details Panel expands notifications into tabs, providing detailed information for:
- Assets: Displays notifications for the specified asset.
- Groups: Shows notifications for all assets in the group.
- Journeys: Displays notifications during the journey’s date range.
- Shared Views: Shows notifications during the shared view’s date range.
Each notification type, such as Positions, Alerts, Events, Statuses, Chats, and Messages, has specific functionalities, such as sorting, filtering, and map interaction options.
