Map Tools: Zoom

Feature Summary

The Map Tools Zoom feature in GSatTrack lets users adjust map magnification to focus on a specific area for detailed analysis or zoom out for a wider view. This supports asset monitoring, route planning, and situational awareness by letting users view data at different scales.

Additional Information

How-To: Reveal All

  1. Go to the Map Mode Indicator in the top right-hand corner of the portal and select “Reveal All”
  2. The map will quickly zoom all the way out, showing the entire map.
  3. Interact with the new map data

How-To: Zoom to Region

  1. Go to the Map Mode Indicator in the top right-hand corner of the portal and select “Zoom to Region”
  2. Click and drag a square box around the desired region to zoom in
  3. Interact with the new map data

How-To: Zoom In

  1. Go to the Map Mode Indicator in the top right-hand corner of the portal and select “Zoom In”
  2. The map will gradually zoom in toward the visible center point.
  3. Interact with the new map data

How-To: Zoom Out

  1. Go to the Map Mode Indicator in the top right-hand corner of the portal and select “Zoom Out”
  2. The map will gradually zoom out from the visible center point.
  3. Interact with the new map data

Key Features

  • Reveal All — Quickly zooms all the way out, showing the entire map and all visible assets and items.
  • Zoom to Region — Click and drag a box over a region to zoom in on it.
  • Zoom In — Gradually zooms toward the visible center point of the map.
  • Zoom Out — Gradually zooms out from the visible center point of the map.
