Feature Summary

The Reports feature in GSatTrack is an essential tool for generating detailed insights and analytics on asset performance, activities, and overall operations. The Reports feature allows users to create, customize, and schedule reports, providing valuable data that supports informed decision-making and operational efficiency.

Overview

The Reports feature in GSatTrack enables users to generate comprehensive reports on various aspects of their asset management and operations. These reports can cover a wide range of topics, including asset utilization, route efficiency, maintenance logs, and compliance with regulations. By providing detailed and customizable reports, this feature helps users analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize their operations.

Reports in GSatTrack are designed to be user-friendly, offering a range of templates and customization options to suit different needs. Whether for daily activity logs, fleet performance analysis, or regulatory compliance, the Reports feature provides a powerful tool for capturing and presenting critical operational data.

How to Use

Note!

Requesting too much information in a report can bog down the browser for an extended period. If this happens, try running the report again but with less data being retrieved. This may require running multiple reports for different groups or date ranges.

How-To: Run a Specific Report

  1. Go to Navigation menu and click on “Reports”
  2. Choose the desired report type like “Activity Report”
  3. Fill in the required and desired optional information
  4. Click on “Run Report” or “Schedule Report” to run at a future date

How-To: Export a Report

  1. Run the report
  2. Expand the “Download File” dropdown menu
  3. Choose which file format to export the report to
  4. Interact with exported file

How-To: Print a Report

  1. Run the report
  2. Click the ‘Print report” button
  3. Choose the destination
  4. Click “Print”

Additional Information

Different Types of Reports

  • Activity: Provides a detailed log of all actions and events associated with an asset over a specified time.

  • Alert Summary: Summarizes all alerts triggered by assets, including details on the type, time, and status of each alert.

  • Asset Activation: Shows a record of when assets were activated, including timestamps and any associated activation details.

  • Asset Location: Provides the most recent location data for assets, including coordinates, timestamps, and any relevant location details.

  • Asset Movement: Tracks the movement history of assets, showing routes, distances traveled, and any stops or deviations.

  • Driver Summary: Offers a summary of driver activities and performance metrics, including driving hours, distances covered, and events logged.

  • Event Detail: Provides comprehensive details of specific events, including timestamps, locations, and any relevant asset or driver information.

  • Event Summary: Summarizes all events recorded within a specified time frame, including counts and types of events.

  • Fleet Trip: Details trips made by fleet vehicles, including start and end locations, distances traveled, and trip durations.

  • Fuel Consumption: Reports on fuel usage by assets, providing data on fuel levels, consumption rates, and refueling events.

  • Fuel Level: Monitors and reports on the fuel levels of assets over time, highlighting trends and any significant changes.

  • Geofence Dwell: Tracks the amount of time assets spend within specified geofences, including entry and exit times and total dwell time.

  • Input History: Logs the history of input signals received by assets, including timestamps and types of inputs.

  • Max Altitude: Provides data on the maximum altitude reached by assets during a specified period, along with associated details.

  • Max Speed: Reports the maximum speed achieved by assets, including the time and location where it was recorded.

  • Position: Lists the recorded positions of assets, including coordinates, timestamps, and any relevant movement details.

  • Raw Log: Offers an unfiltered log of all raw data received from assets, including GPS data, sensor readings, and event logs.

  • User Activity: Tracks activities performed by users within the GSatTrack platform, including logins, commands issued, and changes made.

Key Features

  • Comprehensive Report Templates: Offers a variety of pre-defined templates for generating reports on different aspects of asset management and operations.
  • Customizable Reports: Allows users to tailor reports to their specific needs, including selecting data fields, setting time ranges, and applying filters.
  • Scheduled Reporting: Supports the scheduling of reports to be generated and sent automatically at specified intervals, ensuring timely access to critical information.
  • Real-Time Data Integration: Integrates real-time data from various sources within GSatTrack, ensuring that reports reflect the most current information.
  • Export and Share Options: Provides options for exporting reports in different formats (e.g., PDF, CSV) and sharing them via email or other communication channels.
  • Interactive Report Interface: Offers an interactive interface for viewing, customizing, and analyzing reports directly within the GSatTrack platform.

Data Export

Users can choose to run and view a report directly from the portal itself, and these reports will have export options that will allow users to save and use them externally.

From any report after it has been run, users can choose to Print, Export to Excel, or Export to PDF. The print option will act the same as any other print button from a browser, triggering the user’s device’s print protocols. Exporting to Excel or PDF will initiate the save protocols from the browser.

Use Cases

  • Fleet Performance Analysis: Generate reports on fleet performance metrics such as fuel consumption, mileage, and utilization rates to identify areas for improvement and optimize operations.
  • Route Efficiency Evaluation: Create reports that analyze route efficiency, including travel times, distances, and deviations, to improve route planning and reduce operational costs.
  • Compliance and Audit Reporting: Produce detailed reports for regulatory compliance and audit purposes, covering aspects such as driver logs, maintenance records, and safety checks.
  • Asset Utilization Tracking: Monitor asset utilization through reports that track usage patterns, idle times, and operational status, helping to maximize asset productivity.
  • Geofence Activity Reports: Generate reports on geofence activities, such as entries and exits, to monitor security, ensure compliance, and detect unauthorized movements.
  • Maintenance and Service Logs: Create maintenance reports that log service history, upcoming maintenance schedules, and repair records, ensuring timely upkeep and reducing downtime.
