Address Book Entries
Feature Summary
Address book entries are the individual contact files that are stored in address books. Each one is assigned an index value (a number between 2-99) that references the device for short-coding recipients.
How to Use
How-To: Add Address Book Entry
- Go to the navigation menu and click on ‘Add Item’
- Select Add Address Book Entry from the list
- Select the address book to add the entry from the drop-down menu
- Assign the NAL shout short code (must be different from other entries in the same address book)
- Fill in remaining fields
- Click ‘Create Address Book Entry’
Additionally, users can create new address books or address book entries by opening the Manage Module and selecting Address Books or Address Book Entries._
How-To: Edit Address Book Entry
- Go to the navigation menu and click on ‘Manage’
- Click on ‘Address Book Entries’
- Click on the ‘Edit’ icon next to the address book entry from the list
- Edit the desired information
- Click ‘Save Changes’
How-To: Delete Address Book Entry
- Go to the navigation menu and click on ‘Manage’
- Click on ‘Address Book Entries’
- Click on the ‘Delete’ icon next to the address book entry from the list
- Click ‘Delete’ on the popup window

Satellite phones are the primary devices that may use the address book entries feature.
Address Book Entry Fields
Address Book: The address book to which the entry will be assigned.
NAL Shout Short Code: The NAL Shout short code for the recipient is a number between 2 and 99.
NAL Shout contact group: The name of the group of contacts the recipient belongs to.
Name: Name of the person or entity who will be contacted.
Email address: The recipient's email address.
Phone Number: The recipient's phone number.
Location: Where the recipient is physically located.
